Rebels

Pups from 5 – 9 months old

Yip, we may not be able to slam a door, but boy-oh-boy can we tantrum, ignore our human and just for fun “forget” our toilet training – not to mention, suddenly turning into a shoe chewing connoisseur, who just loves to pull on a lead.

Believe it – your cute puppy can turn into a teenage hooligan!

Depending on your pup`s breed (larger breeds take longer to develop), your pup will go through “doggy puberty” from around 7 months up until 2 years.

During this period, you will not only notice the physical changes, but also behavioural changes.
Many misunderstood “teenagers” are surrendered to rescue organisations or the SPCA.
All hope is not lost, the key to a well-behaved adult is to continue with your pup`s training.

“REBELS” is the follow-on course from “PUPS”. Your rebel will still have a lot of fun and at the same time learn how to be a “focused and well-mannered dog”. We will build on your pup`s basic obedience, lead manners, heel work and show-stopping tricks.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
• Pups from 5 months to 9 months.
• Must have graduated puppy class (may be from another doggy school).
• Graduated from another puppy school – A temperament test will be done to ensure that your pup will be able to enjoy training in a group environment.
• Sometimes a pup may display serious behavioural issues such as aggression, severe anxiety, and depression only to name a few.
Many of these behavioural issues may stem from an underlying medical condition, nutritional deficiency, or a very traumatic experience.
These pups do need special attention and will be referred to an accredited Animal Behaviourist.
• All vaccinations, including internal & external parasite control must be up to date.

Class Times

Missed the intake, and the first two classes?
Not a problem, your pup can “catch up”, it will require a bit more work, but we will have your pup up to date in no time!

Missed more than two classes – we will see you at our next intake.

No pups in season (in heat) will be allowed to attend classes, arrangements can be made to catch up.
